Today is Good Friday , actually I don't have any idea about something I would post on this blog now. Oh yeah, I just remember this is the first time since my last post on this blog one year ago, quite long time forgetting this blog.

One year has been passed, I read again my last post on this blog and I think that I have changed myself a lot, I have new mind paradigm, new life orientation, new spirit for enjoying my job, and also new special purpose, hehhehe... (this is my secret that always make me happy).

Furthermore, today I have just completing my activities, routine activities that should I do every week end , as you can know that is washing my one-week dirty clothes.

Now I'm just enjoying my free time before go to the church this afternoon, I have tried to call my family at my hometown for saying Good Friday and ask for their news but the telephone call could not connected.

Hopefully I could post this blog actively since I have my own internet connection from my rent-room at Jakarta :)

Study again..

Since this week I have being started again my study, after waiting for about six months delayed. So far my spirit for study is very good, hopefully I could keep this until the end of course program and reach my bachelor degree with satisfied results.

Why 3G..??

Since the 3G's lisence has been tendered in Indonesia last months ago, it becomes more popular. As for your information, this tender was won by five companies, four of them are big telecommunication companies in Indonesia.

3G is abbreviation of third generation telecommunication technologies, it spreads on wide air frequency range, brings wider data communication that could be used for more innovative ways for communication.

Now, the companies that have rights for using it have launch their variatif products, video call, mobile TV, etc, are the samples of thats. The promotion programs also declarated by them (companies) to introduce their product. Television program, newspaper's poster, and baliho are fullfilled as to catch consument attention for using their programs and they hope could get benefits as much as possible.

If we look backward about telecommunication's technologies growth, we know about 1G, 2G, and even 2.5G.

1G is first generation telecommunication technology, it also known just as radio frequency. AM, FM, MW are some implementations of this technology. It is more used by public radio broadcaster companies.

2G is expansion of 1G technology. It p0pular with GSM (Global System of Mobile Technology) name. Until this time, it is most used in Indonesia and also in more countries in the world. This technology divides a frequency into several timeslots, data that will be transmitted such as our voice is brought by this timeslot into receiver equipment.

After those phases of telecommunication development, GPRS came as 2.5 generation. General Packet Radio System supports for wider data transmission than GSM. EDGE (Enhancement of GSM ...) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) are there in this technology. People has used this for wider data transmissions such as video streaming, mobile internet access, etc.

And now we are introduced with 3G. Eventhougt in Indonesia this is as new thing, but in other countries this technology has been being used since several times ago. Actually this technology has the implemantation names, WCDMA or UMTS (cmiiw) are the names for those.

But the question now, why this just known as 3G..?? if we said about WCDMA or UMTS, most peoples do not know about theses. Telecommunication providers also introduce it as 3G in every their promotion programs, why don't they use the real name for that..?? and why they didn't saying 2G for their GSM product..???

feel quite free

After 2 weeks tired I can feel quite free now. After finished training program last week, I deployed KPI project and then continued with transfer knowledge program because one of staff in my office will take long vacation.

Mmmm.... talk about vacation I remember that I still have 7 days vacation untill the end of this year, mmmm... I've to schedule my vacation, if not, my boss may not approve that because someone has choose the same schedule and i will be assigned as secondary PIC.

As the conclussion, i have no important thing to say now, i just feel quite free, because some of my jobs have been done.

Reset my plan

I've off-written on this blog for almost three months, yeahhh..... quite long time. Not so many excited things happen in my life on this period. Some of my scheduled plans could be done, but the main plan is failed.

I'm very sad with this thing. I spend lot of my times to thinking about that, why I could be failed..?? I don't know how..?? and don't know why..?? but I believe that it is my life that I should be done.

Actually without this thing there is no special thing that I've done in this year, I believe that this is my life, from the God I believe is. I just believe and I have to reset this plan as the next year plan, I believe that God has arrange the schedule for me experienced my life, what I need now just be patient and be more wise in planning my life and doing that.

Execute all plans

Today (Thursday) is my last working day on this week. I have proposed one day-off for tomorrow to my boss, and fortunely it was approved although I was not sure he would do before.

Tomorrow I will do some activities that are parts of all my big programs in this year, I will make a driving lisence as a guarantee to drive-free in this big city without feel any doubts. If I remember this thing (driving lisence), ohh :( it takes hard effort to get. I have to go to Daan Mogot to apply this.

Based on my experience when i did apprenticeship program when I was studying in Del Poly, this place is one of some places in Jakarta that has huge traffic problems, huhhhh..... I remember how I standed up in a very crowded bus for 3 hours long time :(
But now Jakarta has busway traffic that passing this way, i think this is quite helping.

I hope this thing could be clear tomorrow without have to wait for several days, so I can go into next step and minimize the needed cost for that.

After that, if it possible for my time I will continue to propose a vehicle loan to a leasing company, I also hope the administration process could be completed tomorrow so their staff can make a survey into my office to see my condition and take some needed document .

These are 2 of my several programs in this year. I have to do these because I begin to feel not comportable using mass transportation in this big city. Criminals action happen oftenly at public places or public transportations in Jakarta, so I have to protect my self with this way and I can go to anywhere without feel in worry to continue all planned programs in this year.

I feel like I was life before

Moment..!!
That’s the thing I’m having now..

In my now age, myself is fulfilled with much doubts in living this life. Rightly I know that everything which is with me is God’s blessing, these all out of my capability to reaching-with, I only experiencing what the God’s desire for me.

I found this great sentence in a book, but I couldn’t remember fully, “If you life for the second times in this world, you will be wiser than before, you won’t expect to much for the earthly wealth, but how to do this life peacefully, better than before, and make useful things because of your presence before you leave this earth forever”

Mmmm…. What I think about this life maybe out of a 23-years-old man has to think about, but I want to emphasize that I don’t want to regret in future, that’s way sometimes my mind is factious.

Back to the first explanation, I have the right moment now for drafting my life, with my current condition that I’m still young, health, strength enough and still not late to design my future life yet.

Ironically that’s the thing I’m still not clearing about, I only hope that my presence in this world could have meaning for others especially for my God. But I still don’t have any blueprinted action and plan regarding to this.

Oh God…I want that my life could fulfill your hope, I don’t have power to make the plan about what and how should I do. I hope You will never mind for blessing and powering me to do whatever you pleasure about.

Data-driven programming

At the first time I manage an application in my working place, i tried to read and understand the source script of managed application. It could be said that I understood the program flow by understanding the scripts and tried to perform client request modifying or adding some features in application.

On the progess I need to modify source, I began feel doubt because I could not completing modify the program. And I took any friends to discuss and talking about the problem.

From our disccussion I got the conclussion that the application also driven by data on database, the script just the procedural program and how it works is depend on data condition on database.

It is not first time for me know about data-driven, before I have already known about data-driven programming in some web applications like PHP, ASP, and other CGI programs. And after facing this thing I confess that I just know a little about data-driven. "Ooouu.... good point to be reached", my mind said.

As a conclusion of this post, it is better to understand all data and application designs completelly to yield well qualified and serious software.
Yeah, i've to do this.....

Complain in optimistic

Since joined with current company in *** my time schedule becomes extra hard as my brain always working and never sleep. Yeahhh... now i realize that time is very valuable...

Everyday from the morning until afternoon and even after the dinner time, I wrestle with computer programs such as C, Java, Oracle, etc.... pursuing deadline schedule ordered by partner. After going home, i turn on my lappy to deepen some new programming technologies that i interest with, and it is not rarely happen until midnight and early morning.

In my calculation, i just get rest for average 3-4 hours each day or max 5 hours if i don't feel good and let myself going late to office. And maybe the others think why i would like to do these all...?? same..!! sometimes i also ask this question to myself.....

But in my mind I found the simple answer, i do these all because i optimist that I would become better and professional.

Do not deny your God..!!!

Yesterday, I read digital copy of Male Magazine that causing large controversy in Indonesia especially at Jakarta. It’s not polite to write down the magazine’s name here to avoid propaganda because I think this blog doesn’t have any commercial purpose, beside that we would not talk about the contradictions that are lasting by related parties.

We will talk about content, the magazine’s model opinion about beauty. On her page, she said “The portion of beauty is 30% from God, and the rest comes from your efforts in taking care”.

I have special attention to that opinion. The comparison between what was done by God and human is 30-70. In my opinion this describes how arrogant the human is. She measures the God powers and states that she could do more than her God.

Back to our awareness, does this world belong to GOD..?? And human is entrusted to the world for doing what is God’s desire. So that we could state that all the worlds and life just comes from God and the comparison should be 100% for God, because he does all and all belong to him.

Third boolean value

When I was browsing to some sites for finding any help for my database programs, I was frightened by an article in an oracle's tutorials website. I found that database application especially for Oracle (but I don't know whatever it is occured in other database brands) has 3 boolean values.

I found this article in http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:::::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID:442029737684 a good site that provides so many resources about Oracle. The quote of explanation that makes me frightened is:

 (you would think one of the two queries would
 return a row -- but there is a third state for
 a boolean expression in sql -- "I don't know what
 the answer is")

Believe or not, but I have tried some provided methods in above site to prove that thing. And greatfully I confess that is is true and really happened although I don't know how it is happened.

The question now is, we (acctually not me, but all the worlds) alraedy have a convention for two-first boolean values. "true/false, yes/no, 1/0, ..."

What is the value that represents the third boolean value...???

SDLC

In terms of Software Development, we know about SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) as a role or flow that should be followed when developing any software.

It contains complete steps that will be followed by everyone who is involved in the project. Each step has to be done completely and sequentialy, without these the progress will become disordered and very difficult in managing.

Usually the cycle starts from Requirement Gathering that was needed by business process to be implemented in developed software, it goes to next steps untill to end process, Software Deployment. Although sometimes this cycle could not implemented fully, it's better to follow all steps as can as possible.

But the things that are usually happened in project is the cycle going out of reaching the periodic point. The cycle is going wider than expected. The schema makes not fully rounded cycle, it is going to spiral cycle.

In some software development projects that was noticed, the schema happens because of any mistake on each step. In Requirement Gathering the Project Leader doesn't make any limitation of developed software, and the end user also could not pour all he/she requirements for developed software.

The needed new features appear when the software has being developed or in Asseptance Testing step. And as this happened not in right phase it will disturb all steps and bother development process.
